Tessera

A Chrome extension for StubHub event pages. It reads every listing for the event at once and shows the lowest, typical and highest price per ticket for each zone and section — before fees, and without the outliers skewing the average.

01

All of it, at once.

StubHub shows a few listings at a time. The extension reads the listings the page already shows you, all at once, in your own browser session: the first page, then the rest in parallel batches of twelve.

On a typical event that is about 250 listings across 26 pages, in under a second. If loading fails, it falls back to the listing cards already on screen.

02

Into zones.

Each listing is grouped under StubHub's own zone name, such as Field or Upper Level. Zones keep a fixed order, so a zone and its sections always share the same marking.

Every dot is one listing, placed by its price per ticket.

03

The average, honestly.

Min and max show the real extremes. The average leaves out outliers by the standard 1.5 × IQR rule, but only once a group has at least four prices.

A trimmed average carries an asterisk, and its tooltip gives the true range.

04

Zones, then sections.

Open a zone to see its section numbers, which match the labels on the seat map. Every column sorts; cheapest average first by default.

ZoneMinAvg ↑MaxCount
Upper Level$42$86$12873
Mezzanine$84$143$19752
Lower Level$118$211$30466
Club$160$258$34530
Field$207$336*$8,00033
F4$207$273$3606
F6$226$278$3075
F3$243$316$4084
F1$306$360$4125
F5$318$368$4506
F2$337$411*$8,0007

Prices before fees. * Average excludes 1 outlier listing (true range $207–$8,000).

The venue is invented and every figure on this page is illustrative: one made-up set of 254 listings, drawn live.

About

Tessera adds a small, draggable panel to StubHub event pages. It reads every listing for the event, not just the handful of cards on screen, and shows the lowest, typical and highest price per ticket for each zone and each section, with a count of the listings behind every figure. Switch between Zones and Sections, sort any column, or open a zone to see its sections.

It is private by design. Everything stays in memory in that tab: nothing is saved, nothing is sent anywhere, and there is no backend and no analytics. It only has access to StubHub, and it resets itself when you move to another event. Prices are per ticket and before fees. Not affiliated with or endorsed by StubHub.

The name: in Rome, a tessera was the token that got you into the amphitheatre, stamped with your section, row and seat.
